About Makarska

500 m away from Kuk there is Croatian –Lourdes holy shrine, situated in a harmonious, natural ambiance, on the slopes of a wooded hill.
The holy shrine is established in 1908 by bishop dr. Juraj Carić who is burried over there.
The natural cave and the entire landscape with hills, plants nad brook, vividly reminds of Lurdes The Chapel with sacristy, alter on the square, confessionals, stations of the way of cross, home for spiritual excercises and the paths of processions have been built in the holy shrine.
Becouse of its naturalo beauty and peace this holy shrine is being visited during the whole year, and especially during pilgrimages on 11.II., 25.III., 15.VIII.,7 and 8.IX.
The holy shrine of Vepric is an inevitable place to a great number of pilgrims and visitors of Makarska, and therefore, it is one of the most important links of our offer.
